The S-pen was first released in 2011. "With Samsung sunsetting the original SmartThings app for a more integrated Samsung app which includes the whole Samsung universe of connected products, Samsung could have a unique and proprietary advantage for its ecosystem".

All you have to do is pop out the S Pen from its port, hold down its side button, and it will immediately boot up the camera app.

That's right: you're going to get a brand new Samsung flagship along with a brand new Samsung laptop for over $100 less than you'd pay for a base model Note 9.

You can pre-order from AT&T in stores or via phone beginning Friday, Aug. 10, or online starting at 12am ET/9am PT. Thanks to this connectivity option you can use the S Pen as a remote for taking selfies or group photos, slide presentation control, movie transport control and more.

Samsung fans will be able to get their hands on the these mobile photography features as early as August 24. What will set the Note 9 apart from other gadgets and particularly other Samsung devices is its cooling solution.

The 6.4-inch Note 9, launched here on Thursday, comes with a mammoth 1TB memory, a bigger battery and a Bluetooth-equipped S Pen which is unique to Note devices.

Because this is a new phone that they are really trying to push, they have increased the instant discounts over what you'll likely find in a month or so after the Note 9 launches.

Has "the film business passed away" with its "most popular" Oscars category?
The sweeping changes also include handing out some of the 24 Academy Awards during commercial breaks in the February 24 broadcast on Walt Disney Co's DIS.N ABC network.

The Note series has always had a good camera, and it looks like the Note 9 will be no exception to that rule. You know that. Samsung knows that.

Could we ever see Spotify multi-device integration work on devices from other manufacturers?

New chips in the smartphone give it a faster data connection, and Samsung is using that connection and improved processors to frame the Note 9 as an ideal mobile gaming device.

Under the hood is Samsung's in-house 10nm Exynos 9810 or Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 CPU (depending on region), paired with either 6GB or 8GB RAM depending on whether you pick up the 128GB or 512GB model.

In terms of network support and retailers, in the U.S. the LTE version of the Galaxy Watch, which is set to cost more than the base model, is being sold via AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, and the official Samsung online store. It's a lot of money for a phone.

The Galaxy S9 is no slouch on the inside, but the Note 9 makes some noticeable improvements.

KitGuru says: Some may be disappointed by the lack of major upgrades, but taken on its own, the Note 9 is still nothing short of a modern-day monster. Again, I didn't have chance to check the limits of functionality and compatibility with iOS on the hands-on session, so again it will be worth holding off for T3's full Galaxy Watch review.
