Apparently "urban horseback riding" is a thing, and Idris Elba has just signed on to star and co-produce a movie about it called Ghetto Cowboy. The screenplay was adapted by Staub and Walser.

As for Bond, James Bond... rumors of Elba replacing Daniel Craig creeps back into the rumor mill this week after word that franchise producer Barbara Broccoli said that Elba is indeed under consideration.

Elba, who recently featured in Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War, will be producing the drama via his Green Door Pictures shingle, along with Jeff Waxman, Jen Madeloff, Sam Mercer, Tegan Jones and Walser.

Based on Greg Neri's 2011 children's book of the same name, Ghetto Cowboy is the story of a troubled teen called Cole who is forced to move to a rough part of Philadelphia with a dad he's never met.

"Ricky and Dan [Walser]'s brilliant script combines the energy and grit of an urban movie with the poetry and romance of the urban cowboy way of life", Idris said.

Elba's recent works include "The Dark Tower", "Molly's Game", "Thor: Ragnarok" and "The Mountain Between Us". Elba is now in production on the Netflix comedy series "Turn Up Charlie", which he created, and will topline and executive produce.
