Omarosa Secretly Recorded Her Firing from The White House

When Manigault was sacked from her White House post in December 2017, she recorded her sitdown with Gen. John Kelly, Donald Trump's chief of staff, who broke the news.

Parts of her conversation with Kelly were played on the air during an appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press" to promote her new book, "Unhinged", which will be released next week.

Manigault Newman explained Sunday that she'd resisted leaving the White House because "I was working to try to find someone who could take my place", noting the White House hasn't hired another African American presidential aide since her departure. She says that she saw the Commander-in-Chief eat a piece of paper after a meeting with his then personal attorney, Michael Cohen. She was one of the highest paid employees on the White House staff, given a salary of nearly $180,000 a year. "But when he talks that way, the way he does on this tape, it confirms that he is truly a racist".

In February, Politico reported that Manigault Newman was sacked for using a White House auto service as a pick-up and drop-off service.

Newman didn't specify when exactly the tape was from, but that it was from Trump's time hosting the show and spinoffs through early 2015.

The former Apprentice contestant has been on the warpath ever since she was forced out, and the level of damage she might do to the Trump administration, armed with appear to be several secret recordings, remains to be seen.

Manigault said that since this was her first conversation with Kelly, she'd like to ask some questions. "You have to have your own back or else you'll look back and you'll have 17 knives in your back". That's downright criminal. If I didn't have these recordings, no one in America would believe me. "So yes, I had to protect myself, and I have no regrets about it".
