Raiders' Lynch sits during national anthem

In Oakland's 16-10 victory, Gruden was treated to an early touchdown run by Marshawn Lynch, who found a lane and ran 60 yards to the end zone, only for those efforts to be called back due to holding in the backfield. He sat for the anthem all of last season but never gave a reason for his decision.

"I was really ticked off", he said.

I didn't recognize the third-year player out of Michigan State.

Kerryon Johnson is a stud - which I talked about in my post-game observations article - and Ameer Abdullah looked sharp giving fans a glimpse at how the running game has improved.

Bairstow & Woakes put England in strong position at Lord’s
Jonny calmed me down from the other end, which was good at that time. "And the next thing I know, I was raising my bat", he said. Particularly yesterday, with the ball moving around, it felt like it was a really good opportunity to try to get him out early.

Lynch also made quite the statement when he stood for the Mexican anthem before a game in Mexico City previous year, after sitting through "The Star-Spangled Banner". Great disrespect! Next time National Football League should suspend him for remainder of season.

No other players on either team demonstrated during the anthem, with the Lions all standing together with locked arms.

Oakland has so many new faces on the roster this season, including a brand new coaching staff, so the Coliseum was definitely rocking on Friday night.

Meanwhile, it remains to be seen whether Lynch will be reprimanded this season.
