Steph Curry got the chance to pursue one of his off-the-court passions over the weekend, as the two-time NBA MVP participated in the Web.com Tour at the Ellie Mae Classic.

The Warriors star announced that the Ayesha and Stephen Curry Foundation is donating $25,000 to the GoFundMe account for Web.com Tour member Scott Harrington and his wife, Jenn, who is battling Hodgkins Lymphoma. Harrington isn't on tour at the moment as he takes time away to be with her after she was diagnosed in May for a second time.

The Web.com-sponsored tournament combined amateur and professional golfers, but Curry, who was also a participant in last year's edition of the tournament, proved to be out of his league.

Curry told reporters this weekend he shared the news with Harrington over the phone, and Harrington responded with gratitude for his generosity. Curry is known for being a good golfer, but he still turned heads as he shot a 71 on Thursday. Curry finished last in the field at TPC Stonebrae in Hayward, Calif, ending his tournament at 17 over as he missed the cut. The two-time regular season Most Valuable Player victor is now a three-time NBA Champion after successfully winning back-to-back titles over the past two seasons. Curry made his amateur debut at the same tournament a year ago, shooting 74 on both Thursday and Friday, missing the cut.
