Michelle Wolf, Joel McHale Talk Shows Canceled by Netflix

Then, months later on her now-canceled Netflix show, Wolf compared Immigration and Customs Enforcement to the Islamic terrorist group known as ISIS. The streaming giant launched Wolf's The Break and The Joel McHale Show earlier this year as part of a high-profile foray into unscripted and talk show programming, an effort execs there have described as something of an experiment.

Both shows were toplined by comedy personalities with successful track record, McHale as long-time host of The Soup on E! and Wolf as writer and contributor on Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.

Wolf has not yet made a statement about her show's cancellation.

Her show aired weekly and lasted ten episodes, the last one airing July 29th.

The Hollywood Reporter reported that Netflix also canceled Joel McHale's talk show The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale, which premiered in February.

Netflix previous year canceled its first foray into the genre, Chelsea Handler's celebrity talk show, following its second season.

Netflix - which unveiled David Letterman's My Next Guest Needs No Introduction in January and the 10th season of Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee in July - will offer up several more talk shows in the coming months, including Norm Macdonald Has a Show and Patriot Act With Hasan Minhaj.

McHale will have a continuous presence on Netflix via his role on dark comedy series Santa Clarita Diet.
