The Belgium worldwide came off the bench for the final half an hour at Stamford Bridge and set up Marcos Alonso's winning goal late on.

Emery has not managed to earn a point in his first two games in charge of Arsenal, who have faced a hard slate to open the campaign with last weekend's 2-0 home loss to Manchester City.

"This is a process for us and it will take some time", stated Emery. "I hope that we are able to play 90 minutes like the first 25".

Morata's fourth goal in 2018 was another positive for Chelsea, but Sarri believes there is more to come from the Spain global. The defensive phase of all the team, all the players.

Perhaps Emery is right to be preaching patience and "calm".

Arsenal coach Unai Emery, who also moved to London this summer to replace Arsene Wenger, said he took positives from the defeat.

Sarri has a different challenge at Chelsea.

Mueller: Papadopoulos could face brief prison time
That's despite the fact prosecutors said Papadopoulos did not provide "substantial assistance" after his guilty plea. George "Coffee Boy" Papadopoulos in London.

A banner unfurled by their supporters prior to the game declared "15 years, 15 trophies" - a reference to the 15 years of Roman Abramovich's ownership - but Sarri is the 13th full-time manager to have been appointed by the Russian in that time, so change is nothing new at Stamford Bridge.

Sarri's arrival, following Conte's exit, is simply more of the same.

"It's clear. He is a great player", added Sarri. It is only two games. They improve and are continuing.

Better teams than Arsenal will punish Chelsea for their defensive mistakes, though, as Sarri admitted after this game.

"But we need to continue and press and press and press in the other half".

"I think we have to work, improve in the basics and I'm not talking about only the defenders". "But I think that, at this moment, he's not able to play for 90 minutes so yesterday I thought it was better to give him 25-30 minutes when the intensity of the match has come down".

As the Gunners continued to threaten in the second half, Sarri made a double substitution on the hour mark, bringing on Eden Hazard and recent signing Mateo Kovacic for his debut.
