OnePlus 6T coming in October, could be priced at $550

A new report has surfaced online suggesting that the next generation OnePlus smartphone will launch on October this year.

OnePlus has reportedly signed a tentative accord with the United States carrier, which will see the firm release a "specific version of the OnePlus 6T optimised for T-Mobile's network" that will include support for the operator's Extended Range LTE technology.

Chinese smartphone company OnePlus launched its flagship smartphone OnePlus 6 in May this year.

We recently got confirmation that OnePlus could be collaborating with T-Mobile to deliver the OnePlus 6T to the U.S. in October, and we can only wait with bated breath. Additionally, the trend with higher prices will apparently continue as the price of the handset is expected to go up to $550 (roughly Rs. 38,400).

OnePlus smartphones have always worked with the T-Mobile network, but the version OnePlus plans to ship in the USA will reportedly be optimised with the network operator's 600Mhz support. This means the smartphone will support the telecom operator's 600MHz band.

The report added, " "The only hiccup with the USA launch could come from the testing required by T-Mobile to get certification on the network. The only issue could be obtaining the required "technical approval" for use on the network.

According to popular tipster Ice Universe, the OnePlus 6T could be based on the upcoming OPPO R17 Pro. Notably, the CNET report does not provide any information about the OnePlus 6T's specifications and features.
