Focus Features has launched the first teaser trailer for an original sci-fi thriller titled Captive State, the latest from director Rupert Wyatt (The Escapist, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, The Gambler).

Set in Chicago, the sci-fi movie takes place 10 years after visitors from outer space have conquered the planet and will explore the lives of the humans and their otherworldy occupiers. Set in Chicago almost a decade after an alien force occupies the Earth, Captive State tells the smaller stories of people and aliens living side by side. The film is produced by David Crockett and Rupert Wyatt and executive produced by Jeff Skoll and Jonathan King. Hopefully, Captive State will be that worthy return to feature filmmaking. The dystopian pic that's set not so far off in the future is set to hit theaters March 29, 2019. The story is set in Chicago and takes place almost a decade after an occupation by an extra-terrestrial force.

Better yet, it'll be available for $49 instead of the $65 the charger was initially offered for when it went on sale this summer. It also comes with an integrated USB-C cable and USB-A port for charging purposes.

Holding up a mirror to the surveillance state and asking questions about the cost of freedom, Captive State boasts the likes of John Goodman, Vera Farmiga, Ashton Sanders and Machine Gun Kelly in the cast.
