Bob Woodward: I'd Release Book Tapes If Challenged

Eric Trump, the son President Trump, told Fox News on Wednesday that journalist Bob Woodward wrote a new and highly critical book about his father's administration in order to make "shekels".

The son of the president - one of President Donald Trump's fie children - explained how he feels that it is obvious to people that the new Woodward book, "Fear: Trump in the White House", is sensational and nonsense and that Woodward is just trying to make money through this latest publication of his.

The shekel is both an ancient and modern-day form of currency in Israel, but it can also evoke ugly old bigoted and anti-Semitic stereotypes about Jewish people.

For his part, Mr. Trump has been highly critical of Woodward's book, recently saying that it was "a Joke" and "just another assault against me".

"But I - again - I've made agreements with people that these sources are going to remain confidential", he said. "The author will break under pressure or will eventually say, 'f*ck it, it's me'".

Turkey central bank surprises markets with big rate hike
It was not immediately clear if Erdogan had been aware of the central bank's decision when he made his comments. The dollar/lira exchange rate fell 6.3512 by around 14.30 local time (1130 GMT), down 1 percent.

"Is Eric too stupid to know he's being anti-Semitic?" tweeted conservative pundit Bill Kristol.

Numerous Trump officials, as well as former surrogates and administration employees, have come forward to attack comments attributed to them in the book - and Trump has consistently slammed Woodward's work as "fiction".

"But as the great editor of The Washington Post, Ben Bradlee, said, 'the truth emerges'. And to use invective and this attack rhetoric, or whatever it might be, it sets us back", said Woodward to Cooper.

Co-host Steve Doocy tripped himself up, talking about Democrats as "the other side" before correcting himself to say, "from you", to Eric Trump.
