"If whoever it may be needs a rest and you've got a game in the Champions League on Wednesday night, then a real big Premier League game on the Saturday, rest the player [in] the Champions League".

The game will be another test of the Reds' title credentials but John Barnes doesn't believe the outcome of the game will be remembered at the end of the season for being massively important in the race to win the 2018/19 Premier League title.

The England captain also appeared to labour through the first few games of the new season, even though he scored two goals in four games.

"I don't know what he means by that to be honest", he added. How do you prepare a game and not focus on it? You're gonna have to bring in a centre forward, and you say to him "you're gonna be a sub because I've got one of the best strikers in the world in Harry Kane". We have to play football.

Tiredness could be an issue for Son, who played eight games in 26 days for his country, but his return after playing just ten minutes of Tottenham's league season so far will be greatly received by Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino insists he is not anxious by Harry Kane's performances so far this season as they prepare to face Liverpool tomorrow at Wembley. Only we need to try, how he understands that it was a mistake.

"We will see, I don't know what it means, to focus on one competition, can only be if you're almost out of a competition, late in the season".

Parole of Nawaz Sharif, Maryam, son-in-law extended by 3 days
Sharif and two of his family members are now serving prison terms in a corruption case. The restricted area however has not been declared a sub-jail by the Home Department.

'If it's late in the season that you see you have a chance to do that or do this and all that stuff.

I still think Man City will win the league at this stage but as I said at the start of the season I think Liverpool will run them very close and it wouldn't be a massive surprise if they did win it.

Liverpool FC are still aiming to win their first trophy since Jurgen Klopp's appointment at Anfield back in October 2015.

Liverpool's intensity dropped between the West Ham and Leicester games but we've been more reliable on the defence so haven't paid the price.

"I'll go for 2-1 Liverpool".

Tottenham are coming off an impressive 3-0 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

"But on the other side we still knew we had a good team".
