Julia Roberts Questions Her Past In The Homecoming Trailer

With the end of Mr. Robot coming soon, series creator Sam Esmail lined up some star power for his followup coming to Amazon, with Julia Roberts leading the cast of Amazon's new series Homecoming. That's the mystery at the center of this paranoia thriller directed and executive produced by Sam Esmail (Mr. Robot). But based on the footage we see of the facility, it seems Homecoming may have had more sinister motives all along. But years later, Heidi is confronted by the reality of why she left the facility when a Department of Defense auditor (Shea Whigham) comes to her with questions, and she realizes there's another version of the story she's been telling herself.

Julia Roberts stars in the series alongside Jeremy Allen White, Alex Karpovsky, Dermot Mulroney, Hong Chau, and Sydney Poitier co-star in the series, with Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Brooke Bloom, Ayden Mayeri and Jacob Pitts recurring.

Starring Julia Roberts, the show follows case worker turned waitress Heidi Bergman (Roberts) as she struggles to remember her time working at a facility that treats soldiers returning from war. This may have something to do with the two distinct time periods that the series will cover.

Mystery is afoot: Roberts plays Heidi Bergman, who works at the Homecoming Transitional Support Center, helping soldiers make a smooth transition from the battlefield to home.

Come back: The trailer also offers glimpses at Bobby Cannavale's Colin Belfast, Heidi's boss who is seen chasing her down in one scene, along with Stephan James as Walter Cruz.
