Katamari Damacy always stood out for being equal parts unusual and alluring, this condensed ball of eccentricity that you rolled through a colorful and angular world.

Following the Katamari Damacy Reroll trademark registration we saw its official announcement for Nintendo Switch during today's Nintendo Direct presentation. On Nintendo Switch, the game supports HD Rumble, and motion controls.

Katamari Damacy is a cult classic for a reason: released in 2004, it's a puzzle game about rolling a ball around a whimsical world, and gripping all manner of objects onto it. Will you be picking up this release when it arrives on the Switch later this year?

A state of emergency has been declared in five coastal states - North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Maryland and Virginia. North Carolina's Emergency Management tweeted that more than 154,000 homes were already without electricity by late Thursday.

In GameSpot's Katamari Damacy review, Ryan Davis said the game "is not overly esoteric, and the mechanics are simple and enjoyable enough that people of virtually all shapes and sizes should be able to pick it up and start having fun in minutes". You play as the Dashing Prince who has an adhesive Katamari ball. Bumbling monarchs! These are only a few of the wondrous things that await you in Bandai Namco's one of a kind roll 'em up.

The game's soundtrack is upbeat and Keita Takahashi's unique character designs can not be mistaken for any other game.

Katamari Damacy Reroll launches December 7 on PC, and Switch.
