Nine former Bills players are listed among the 102 nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2019, the Hall of Fame announced on Thursday.

Gonzalez retired in 2013 after 17 pro seasons in which he had 1,325 receptions, second to Jerry Rice on the career list. He made six All-Pro teams and was a member of the all-decade team for 2000-10.

Reed and Bailey were standout defensive backs for stout units.

After eight seasons as an NFL halfback with the Cowboys (he was part of two Super Bowl teams), Reeves became one of the longest-tenured coaches in the leagues' history. Only five men coached more than his 357 games, and he went 190-165-2 with the Denver Broncos, New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons, with four Super Bowl appearances.

Gordon Hayward Playing Full-Contact 5-On-5
The last step for me as far as from a physical standpoint is a little explosion, that little last juice bounce that you get. Hayward has been able to play full court basketball and five-on-five with minimal restrictions.

Other notable players and coaches on the list that have played for the Redskins include wide receiver Gary Clark, running back Shaun Alexander, quarterback Donovan McNabb, offensive tackle Chris Samuels, running back Larry Centers, wide receiver Henry Ellard, running back Earnest Byner, linebacker Wilber Marshall, running back and returner Eric Metcalf, and head coach Marty Schottenheimer.

Bailey began his career with Washington in 1999 as the seventh overall draft choice. The Modern Era nominees will be trimmed to 25 semifinalists in November and to 15 finalists in January.

It should be noted that in August, the Pro Football Hall of Fame senior committee selected former Kansas City Chiefs safety Johnny Robinson as its one senior nominee for the Class of 2019.
