Trump Admin SLAMS 'SHAMEFUL' John Kerry over 'Shadow Diplomacy — KERRY UNDER FIRE

Last week he took a swipe at Kerry after the former secretary of state did not rule out a 2020 Democratic presidential bid.

A spokesman for Kerry, who did not immediately respond for comment on Trump's Thursday night tweet, has previously dismissed suggestions of illegal acts.

Kerry, a principal architect of the Iranian nuclear deal, which Trump pulled out of in May, denied that his talks were about the nuclear issue.

The latter assertion was a reference to a question Kerry fielded in his Fox News appearance about whether he has told Iranians to "wait out" Trump until there is a new president.

"I think I've seen him three or four times", Kerry said in an interview with Hugh Hewitt on Salem Radio in NY on Wednesday September 12, the radio anchor's website reported.

The president's tweet came amid Republican criticism for Kerry's "shadow diplomacy" with Iran.

Kerry also said that he thought Trump should have stayed in the Iran deal, arguing that under the deal "you have China, Russia, these other countries with you in the effort to leverage this different behavior from Iran rather than unilaterally pulling out and isolating yourself and making it much more hard to sit down with any Iranian". That statute requires those who represent the interests of foreign governments in a "political or quasi-political capacity" to disclose those relationships and details about their activities.

Sunderland to end Papy Djilobodji contract after defender went AWOL
A statement on Sunderland official website reads, "Sunderland AFC has given notice under its contract with Papy Djilobodji". Former Chelsea centre-back Papy Djilobodji has been sacked, after he "comprehensively failed" a fitness test at Sunderland.

Others who have criticized Kerry have suggested he might have violated the Logan Act, which prohibits private citizens from negotiating on behalf of the USA government without authorization. "What I have done is tried to elicit from him what Iran might be willing to do in order to change the dynamic in the Middle East for the better". Kerry told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt on Wednesday that he met with Zarif a few times. Kerry also said he was "seriously considering running for president in 2020", per the Jerusalem Post report. The Boston Globe called the meeting an "aggressive yet stealthy" mission to put pressure on the Trump administration to keep the Obama-era nuclear deal in some form.

He also reimposed some sanctions and emphasized that they would also apply to other nations that did business with Iran.

Trump blasted Kerry for his "possibly illegal Shadow Diplomacy" earlier this year.

Kerry denied the conversations were inappropriate hours later, saying "Every secretary of state, former secretary of state continues to meet with foreign leaders, goes to security conferences, goes around the world". "We all do that".

The Iran agreement, struck in 2015 by the United States, other world powers, and Iran, lifted most USA and global sanctions against the country.
