N'Golo Kante says he has "no urge" to leave Chelsea following World Cup success with France, despite admitting that Paris Saint-Germain made contact with him during the summer transfer window.

In his first season where he again won the title, Kante became the PFA Players' Player of the Year, Chelsea Players' Player of the Year, the FWA Footballer of the Year, and the Premier League Player of the Season.

However, the 27-year-old ended up staying at the west London club and he will now be aiming to help the Blues mount a serious Premier League title challenge.

But the France global, who has become a lynchpin in coach Didier Deschamps' midfield, is not ooking for a move.

"There was no urge to go elsewhere after the World Cup", Kante told RMC Sport.

'There was interest from other clubs, but after speaking with Chelsea, things were clear. What was logical therefore was to stay at Chelsea.

Still uncertainty as Hurricane Florences path moves south
Last year's blitz of hurricanes was all the more unusual because the East Coast had enjoyed more than a decade of relative calm. Moreover, high tides around noon and midnight these next few days will make the storm surges even worse, Samson said.

'There were some contacts [from PSG],' he said.

"However, after a discussion with the club, I realised that the main thing for me was to feel good where I was then and am now".

'I feel good at Chelsea.

Kante also played a starring role in France's World Cup winning campaign which prompted the Ligue 1 giants to register their interest in Chelsea midfield linchpin.

Kante said: "It's a new system with a new manager, new players and I enjoy being in this position to try and sometimes be in the box and then to be back defending, but I'm enjoying this new position".
