Juventus recorded their fourth successive Serie A win this afternoon with a 2-1 defeat of Sassuolo in Turin.

Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly has a clause in his contract which guarantees him a five million euros bonus if he scores a goal a game.

The Portuguese added another in the 65th minute when he finished off a counter-attack by drilling a low-angled shot beyond Andrea Consigli and into the far corner with his left foot. "I'm still adapting to the Italian league".

"I don't expect Ronaldo to do more or less than what he did in the first three games", said Allegri.

The five-time Ballon d'Or victor broke his duck just days after Juventus manager Max Allegri backed him to find form against Sassuolo.

"It's a very hard group, we know that we can do well and Juve must focus on being the best".

But Guardiola was happy with the win and predicts that the Cottagers will take points off City's title rivals. And it's fair to say that the result is emphatic in favour of the great Barcelona side of 2011.

Valter Birsa pulled a goal back in the 52nd minute, with Polish striker Mariusz Stepinski sealing a point for the club from Verona seven minutes from time.

"Sassuolo fought hard and as they became exhausted later on, we took full control of the game".

"In games like this you have to score four goals".

"Today, even though it was the first time with this system, we did well".

Despite the unsavoury end to the game, Juve maintained their 100% start to the new season.
