The Fire TV Recast is now available for pre-order in the United States starting today, September 20 and will begin shipping on November 14. The Fire TV Recast will have a programming guide (accessible through those other devices), and recording and playback is, of course, accessible via voice through Alexa-powered devices. This lets you stream your antenna to Fire TV, Echo Show, Android, and iOS.

Watch and record live sports, local news, late night shows, and other can't miss TV from channels available through an HD antenna like ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, PBS, and The CW. According to Amazon, mobile streaming for Fire TV Recast is available on all compatible mobile devices with no extra monthly charges or subscription fees. Contained in those releases, however, was significant news of more than 70 new devices, features and tools for its Fire, Alexa and Echo systems, all of which will be major holiday season items for the tech giant.

While it's easy to cut the cord and get national TV networks on your television with apps like Sling, YouTube TV, and more, sending local channels from an antenna to a smart device requires a bit more work. During setup, the Fire TV app helps you discover the place in your home with the best reception, and walks you through the channel scan process. All of the above comes at no additional cost or monthly fees. "Now with Fire TV Recast, we've made it simpler to find, watch, and record live over-the-air TV at home and on your mobile devices".

Record up to 2 shows at once, with enough storage for up to 75 hours of HD programming.
