The retro console will come with two wired replica controllers, one HDMI cable, one USB cable and 20 pre-loaded classic games including Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash!

Just days after Sony's PlayStation Classic announcement, new evidence has surfaced surrounding Nintendo's next classic mini console. IGN received a statement from a PlayStation spokesperson when inquiring about the prospect of post-release content and was told that the games the console ships with are the only ones planned to be released. Speaking to IGN via email, a PlayStation spokesperson confirmed that, similarly to those consoles, the initial launch lineup will be the full catalogue for the PlayStation Classic. However, it would be insane for the system to not include at least one title representing what was arguably the system's mascot, so Crash Team Racing would make for a logical way to include the ridiculous bandicoot in some capacity on the system, aside from it being a fantastic kart racing game in its own right.

Speaking in Downing Street on Friday afternoon, the prime minister said the talks were now at an "impasse" - raising the prospect of a no deal exit.

Nintendo also had and has no plans to add games to its Classic consoles as well with the SNES Classic having 21 games and the NES Classic having 30, numbers not far off from Sony's 20 games on the PlayStation Classic. Players will be able to jump right back in and resume playing from where they left off.

As racing games now feature cars that are almost indistinguishable from real life, the Gran Turismo series is bound for an appearance on the PlayStation Classic as one of the defining franchises in the genre. While PlayStation didn't confirm or deny whether these remakes affected the list, the spokesperson did offer some insight into the selection process. "However, it is important to note that the title list is tailored to each region". What games would you like to see included with an N64 Classic release?
