The Razer Raiju Mobile is a mobile gamepad with a phone mount and Bluetooth.

Gaming hardware maker Razer will soon launch its Razer Phone 2 at an estimated price of US$799.

Though it is broadly the same in appearance, Razer has smoothed out and rounded the edges subtly and the new device is said to be more comfortable in the hand.

According to the listing, the Razer Phone 2 also features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, the same 8GB RAM as the original model, and 64GB of storage. The rear of the phone features the Razer triple-headed snake logo that glows in 16.8 million colours to provide app notifications. The wireless charging brings with it a glass back. Apart from these, there are Stereo front-facing speakers with Dual amplifiers and Dolby Atmos, 24-bit DAC Audio Adapter. "The screen is still a 5.7" 120Hz 1440p LCD panel, though we're hoping it has better viewing angles. Now it can display images up to 50 per cent brighter than before and sports a Wide Colour Gamut. The improved display is shielded with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, which should keep the pixel-packed screen free from scratches - no matter how aggressive the gaming. The phone measures 158.5 x 78.99 x 8.5 mm in terms of dimensions. Razer makes sure its processor is cooled effectively for minimal throttling thanks to the use of Vapour Chamber Cooling, similar to that used in its laptops. Rounding out the improvements is wireless charging (alongside a $99 RGB Chroma-enabled wireless charger announced separately) and IP67 water resistance.

Cameras have been improved in this second generation device.

There is a 12MP main camera sensor on the rear with f/1.74 wide-angle lens, OIS and dual PDAF which is supported with a 12MP secondary camera with telephoto lens, dual-tone LED flash and Sony IMX sensors. On the front, it packs an 8MP camera. After having sparked a revolution of sorts in the smartphone industry, with the industry's first top-tier gaming phone aka the Razer Phone previous year, Razer is back with the second iteration of the device. Razer is shipping the Razer Phone 2 with Android 8.1 and Nova launcher.

The new phone will be made available "soon" in select Asia-Pacific markets including Singapore, Razer said.
