Netflix is heading back to the Ozarks.

"We're approaching [Ozark] as a 10-chapter movie... the second year is not a completely new story, but it is another single beginning, middle, and end", Jason (who plays Marty Byrde) said of season two.

So the pulpy crime drama Ozark has been renewed for a third season, the streaming service announced Wednesday. However, based on the 21st July, 2017 premiere of season 1 and the 31st August, 2018 premiere of season 2, one might deduce that Ozark season 3 might arrive around late summer or early autumn in 2019.

The second season, which starred Bateman and Laura Linney, continues to follow Marty Byrde (Bateman) and his family as they navigate the murky waters of life within a unsafe drug cartel.

Showrunner Chris Mundy will return in the same position for the show's third season. Laura Linney co-stars as his equally ruthless wife Wendy.

Ozark season 3 has yet to confirm a release date. As as result, viewers will now get yet another season to watch as Marty and the rest of his family struggle to survive in the ever-dangerous crime world that they've found themselves sinking further and further into.
