Samsung Galaxy A9 launched with four rear cameras: Specifications, features

The phone unveiled at Samsung's 4X fun Galaxy A event feature a tall display and vertically stacked four camera sensors which are the highlight of the new Galaxy A smartphone. A fingerprint scanner is present on the backside of the phone.

Samsung Galaxy A9's four camera setup aims to club all possible kinds of sensors and combine them to deliver better quality photos.

There's an ultra wide eight-megapixel (MP) camera at the top.

The A9 has a 24-megapixel main camera, as well as telephoto, ultra wide-angle and depth lenses created to help with a broad range of mobile photography. The bottom lens is for a 5MP depth camera. The Galaxy A9 (2018) also packs decent mid-range hardware- Snapdragon 660 SoC, up to 8GB of RAM, Super AMOLED display and a massive 3800mAh battery. Under the hood is the unspecified octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. In terms of storage, the phone will have an internal storage capacity of 128GB, which can be expanded via microSD by an additional 512GB. Both RAM variants include 128 GB of storage.

It will remain to be seen as to whether the Galaxy A9 Star Pro will be making its way to our shores but we will be reaching out to Samsung Australia after the launch for local availability and pricing.

The Galaxy A9 will cost 599 euros (approx Rs 51,300) when it goes on sale I'm the United Kingdom and Europe sometime in November. Galaxy A9 will be available in select markets fromNovember.

Samsung will make the Galaxy A9 available in three colours; Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue and Bubblegum Pink.

The Galaxy A9 has a 6.3-inch FHD+ screen that Samsung is branding an "Immersive Display", which as far as we can tell is marketing term to differentiate between the dual-curved "Infinity Display" technology found on the flagship Galaxy S9 and Note 9.

Dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018), it comes with a total of five cameras- four on the rear side and one on the front side.
