Tata Motors drives in new Tigor at Rs 5.20 lakh

The festive fervour has set in and Tata is ready to use the festive season to its advantage with multiple launches. A few days earlier, the automaker announced actor Hritik Roshan as brand ambassador for the sedan.

Tata Motors has launched the 2018 Tigor facelift in India with prices starting at Rs 5.20 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. Watch the TVC below.

The new tigor comes with 1.2 litre petrol and 1.05 litre diesel engine.

The highlights of the refreshed exterior styling include updated headlamps with square chrome elements, clear-lens tail-lights, and a shark-fin antenna.

The auto is also expected to come in a couple of new colour options, new alloy wheels and possibly even improved safety features, compared to the outgoing model.

There are no mechanical changes to the facelift and the Tigor continues to sport the same 85hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine and the 70hp, 1.05-litre diesel motor as before. What stays under the hood, still stays there. The Tigor is available in 6 colour options - Egyptian Blue, Roman Silver, Espresso Brown, Berry Red, Pearlescent White and Titanium Grey. The new XZ+ trim also boasts of the 7.0-inch Harman-sourced touchscreen infotainment system that offers reverse camera assist, and Android Auto. The oil-burner produces a maximum power of 70 PS @ 4,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 140 Nm @ 1,800-3,000 rpm.

The Tigor XZ+ also gets driver's side seat-height to adjust, power-folding wing mirrors with integrated turn indicators and other premium features. The petrol engine will be available with both 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes, while the diesel comes with a 5-speed manual only. It is equipped with enhanced safety features like dual airbags and anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) and corner stability control (CSC).
