A 28-year-old model who had just moved to Atlanta with her boyfriend and was excited about pursuing her career died after being shot in the neck while driving to work.

According to the New York Daily News, the bullet went through the woman's neck, severing her spinal cord at the base of her brain, which caused major brain trauma.

Meanwhile, Clayton County Police officers said they had responded to what they initially thought was a multi-car wreck after Quayle lost control of her auto and drove into oncoming traffic; but it wasn't until she was transported to the hospital that doctors discovered that she'd suffered a gunshot wound. "It's ridiculous. She didn't deserve this", Fox5 reports.

Kayleigh Quayle, the victim's sister, said: "I just want to know who did this".

She drove into oncoming traffic and caused a three-car pileup after being shot at the wheel of her Mazda 626, police said. Doctors discovered Quayle had been shot after medics transported her to the hospital.

Her sister Kayleigh Quayle has made a public appeal for help. Hours later, the family chose to take her off life support and she was pronounced dead. "But we just have so many unanswered questions".

The victim's sister said, "She was attractive, she was the sweetest person she was humble she was a model but she never let that get to her head".

"She always could make anyone laugh".

The woman was described as "kind, loving, sweet, and so caring towards other".

"She was an unbelievable daughter, sister, friend and girlfriend", the GoFundMe page states.

Quayle had got into her vehicle to drive to the dentist's office, where she had found a job to earn money between modeling stunts.

The sister says doctors told the family Ms Quayle most likely died instantly from the bullet wound. "She wouldn't have passed so early on in life but she is now in peace and in heaven". Please pray for our family we miss you so much and love you so much Kelsey, she adds.
