Yankees Believe Luis Severino Tipped Pitches Against Red Sox

And some in the Yankees organization believe, as the Red Sox broadcast hypothesized, that NY ace Luis Severino was tipping his pitches Monday in Game 4 of the AL Division Series, Fancred Sports reported Thursday. Unfortunately for them, Severino picked a bad time to turn in one of his worst performances of the season. A report from Jon Heyman of Fancred Sports states that Severino was tipping his pitches in the game.

In three innings, Severino allowed six runs on seven hits. Steven Wright, who went down with a knee injury prior to Game 1 of the ALDS, isn't eligible to return until the World Series, should the Red Sox make it that far.

Could that be because he didn't warm up properly and on time?

The claim appears to be backed up by the following GIF, which showed Jackie Bradley Jr. mouthing "fastball" to Mookie Betts from Boston's bench before Severino threw one during the second inning. Sure enough, he did. As for Severino, he'll need to work on this issue in the offseason, otherwise the Red Sox hitters will tee off on him again.
