Porsche India launched the 2018 Cayenne in India today. A newly-developed eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission is standard across all the Cayenne variants.

The latest generation of Porsche's SUV model line is now available in India. The Turbo variant of the SUV was launched earlier and now the German automaker has added 2 more trims to the Cayenne line-up - Base and e-Hybrid.

The Cayenne also gets five pre-programmed drive and chassis modes which can be activated in accordance to the terrain via the Porsche Communication Management (PCM). Appearance wise, it takes its design cues from its younger siblings, the Macan, and the new-gen Panamera. The bulbous tail lights at the rear of the outgoing auto have been discarded and instead, a new sleek LED taillight design has been adopted, which runs across the rear. The wheelbase, however, remains the same as the outgoing Cayenne's. The cabin comes loaded with all the connected features Porsche has on offer.

Huawei tells us how big the Apple iPhone XR bezels really are

This includes a 710 watts Bose sound system, 18-way adjustable seats, leather upholstery and all other luxuries expected from the sports SUV. The standard Cayenne is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 that produces 340bhp/450Nm. The Cayenne Turbo accelerates from zero to 100kmph in 3.9 seconds (with the Sport Chrono Package) and has a top speed of 286kmph. The e-Hybrid version draws power from a 3.0-litre V6 mill coupled with an electric motor delivering 462bhp and 700Nm of torque. These new developments bring the Cayenne even closer to its racetrack roots, thanks to better versatility and more performance.
