Rey Mysterio Returns During SmackDown 1000, WWE World Cup Update

The Undertaker, Ric Flair, Batista and Rey Mysterio will be among the legends returning for tonight's 1000th episode of SmackDown.

SmackDown launched with a pilot episode on April 29th, 1999, before eventually debuting as a series on August 26th later that year.

- Evolution (Triple H, Randy Orton, Ric Flair & Batista), The Undertaker, Teddy Long and more are advertised to appear.

After Bautista was done handing out compliments, he reminded Triple H that while he's won a lot of matches and defeated many opponents in the WWE, he's never beaten him. The two got into a heated tussle after the former WWE Champion suggested Lynch to mend her ways or she will be left alone.

The hotly-anticipated return of Rey Mysterio to a WWE fan takes place tonight, with the much-loved Mexican star facing United States champion Shinsuke Nakamura in a World Cup qualifying match.

It looks like another big name could be making his return to WWE TV at the show. Despite landing heavy blows early on in the match, the Mexican superstar delivered a picture flawless 619 and followed it up with a frog splash to claim the victory.
