Ted Cruz, R-Texas, at an airport on Wednesday over his vote to confirm Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, a USA Today report said.

One of the videos from the incident shows Cruz struggling to escape the hostile crowd amid chants and taunts. "So you believe in men assaulting women, that what your vote cost today Senator".

Cruz continues walking while continuing to engage with the women. "That's what your whole custom is, Senator".

"I believe in due process", he said, referring to the investigation into the sexual harassment allegations leveled against Kavanaugh.

The second female heckler chimed in with another spurious claim regarding Kavanaugh: "Do you believe in a man lying about his alcohol in front of the Senate and perjury?"

He ended the exchange by thanking the women for expressing their First Amendment rights. "Shame on you, Ted Cruz!"

"God bless you, ma'am", Cruz's said to the protesters before entering the TSA security line.

Cruz, who is an investment manager at Goldman Sachs, tells The Atlantic that she's had to regularly work 70-hour weeks to make enough money to support her family.

Cruz faces surprisingly stiff competition from O'Rourke, who, despite Cruz's seven-point lead, has raised a record $38 million this quarter, over three times the amount that Cruz has.
