With Diablo 3 set to debut on the Nintendo Switch in two weeks, PowerA - the peripheral manufacturer that makes Nintendo-themed controllers - has quietly unveiled an officially licensed Diablo 3-themed wireless controller that will be available on the same day: November 2.

It's been a long time since Diablo III was released. Unfortunately, Blizzard has since taken steps to temper fan expectations in a statement on battle.net.

After the reveal of the Blizzcon 2018 schedule and seeing the prominent placement of Diablo following a keynote - a "usual" sign that that is the "highlight" of the annual convention - rumors and speculation have been flying about what could be coming next for Diablo. The team claimed that while "good things come to those who wait", evil things often take longer. Blizzard has just announced that while it will reveal some Diablo-related news at this year's Blizzcon event, it will not unveil all of its Diablo projects. Unless this is a classic case of misdirection, BlizzCon will have some Diablo but not the major news everyone wants to see. Blizzard did say that it does "intend to share some Diablo-related news" during the show. Of course, one of these projects turned out to be the Diablo III port for the Nintendo Switch.

Maybe not, though. Blizzard has posted a BlizzCon update essentially asking that fans don't get too excited about Diablo.
