The movie, which also stars Sanya Malhotra, Gajrao Rao and Neena Gupta took off to a flying start at the box office on the opening day and had collected Rs 7.29 crore at the Indian box office. This is expected to be Ayushmann's second big hit of 2018 post AndhaDhun.

Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, "Badhaai Ho" tells about the story of a young married man who is embarrassed by his parents' sex life. Reports indicate that good content and excellent performances coupled with the Dussehra holiday factor have propelled the film's collecting and recording higher figures than other sleeper hits of the year like "Raazi" and "Stree'thus far". The film has managed to grow and come out as a victor thus far at the box office, despite the fact that it is sharing business with a handful of other Bollywood films.
