With these teasers, Ford Performance said, "with more than 700 horsepower (537kW) projected, the supercharged V8 Mustang Shelby GT500 will be the most powerful street-legal production Ford ever, and twice as powerful as the original 1967 Mustang performance model".

Photos of the upcoming 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 muscle auto surreptitiously taken at a private Ford dealer event in Las Vegas were posted to Instagram on Thursday and offer the best look yet at what's set to be the most powerful Ford ever made.

At the 0:37 mark of the video, the Mustang comes into full view, and we know it's some sort of Mustang due to the highlighted badge sitting in the middle of the grille. It also appears to have more prominent wheel arches than the other current Mustangs, so there may be a bit of a widebody design, but in any case, this vehicle appears to have very wide tires at all four corners.

Coupled with the big wing out back and brakes that appear to fill the wheels, we would guess that this vehicle packs power like a Hellcat while being created to be more of a road-handling machine.

During a recent Ford dealer conference in Las Vegas, someone managed to snap a picture of the upcoming Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. So what is it?
