As the Chelsea staff celebrated on the touchline, assistant coach Marco Ianni ran past the seated Mourinho, at which point the United boss jumped to his feet to confront him and had to be held back by stewards.

The Belgian has once again been Chelsea's star player in the league over the first two months of the season, and United head to Stamford Bridge with their opponents locked together with Manchester City and Liverpool at the top of the table.

Chelsea came within seconds of losing to Manchester United at Stamford Bridge because they stopped playing their football after 60 minutes, according to head coach Maurizio Sarri.

Barkley equalized with one of the last kicks of the game, preserving Chelsea's unbeaten start to the season after nine games. Of course I want to speak to him again because I want to make sure he's able to understand it was a big mistake.

After the final whistle, Mourinho went to applaud the United fans before holding up three figures to the home support - apparently in reference to the three Premier League titles he won during two spells as Chelsea manager - after they had taunted him with chants following Barkley's leveller.

Like in the come-from-behind 3-2 win over against Newcastle before the worldwide break, it needed going behind to really spark United into action.

Almirola saves fuel, wins at Talladega
Kurt Busch has led a Stewart-Haas Racing sweep of the first stage of Sunday's playoff race at Talladega Superspeedway. My team did an incredible job to tell me about the different situations, and we came up a little shy on fuel.

Antonio Rudiger had headed the hosts in front, but United turned the game around, Anthony Martial grabbing a brace in an absorbing contest between Mourinho's current club and one of his former employers. Paul Pogba lost the Germany defender, who was free about eight yards (meters) out to place his header past David De Gea.

Martial drilled home the equalizer from close range after a speculative shot from Ashley Young had landed in the Frenchman's path via two deflections.

Martial put United ahead following a counterattack led by Juan Mata.

It wasn't so costly this time as Chelsea paid for a lack of killer instinct despite dominating possession for the rest of the first-half.

"When you are the best team you want to win, you deserve to win". "If you say before the game that one point at Stamford Bridge is a good result, it is so hard to win here".

"If they focus on the performance they will be really happy with themselves, if they focus on the result they will be very, very disappointed", Mourinho replied when asked if the players could be positive about the result.
