Thomas Markle 'filled with joy' over royal baby news

British royal couple Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently announced they are expecting their first baby together and Meghan's father has said he is "proud" to become a grandfather.

Meghan seemed to have gotten the rest she needed, however, when she reappeared at Harry's side for a garden luncheon with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison. Harry went solo at the Invictus Games on the morning of October 21 and told the crowd that Meghan "was resting back at home" because "being pregnant takes its toll".

The Invictus Games - an event Harry founded in 2014 as a way to honor the healing power of sports for wounded and recovering service members and veterans - bear a sort of special resonance for the couple, who made their first official public debut at last year's ceremonies.

"After a busy program, the duke and duchess have made a decision to cut back the duchess's schedule slightly for the next couple of days, ahead of the final week-and-a-half of the tour", the palace said in a statement.

"The Duke will attend the cycling as scheduled this morning, and The Duchess will join him for this afternoon's engagements".

"The Duke will continue with the engagements on Fraser Island as planned".

30 people hurt after floor collapse in Clemson
No individuals were trapped during the collapse and it's unclear if anyone suffered life-threatening injuries, police said. At least 30 people are believed to have been injured at a house party when the floor collapsed beneath them.

Meghan pacing herself isn't cause for alarm, though.

"That word "normal" looms very large for Harry and Meghan when it comes to their child's future", the source added.

The pair are due to visit Fiji and Tonga after Fraser Island.

She is most often seen looking perfectly polished, but the Duchess of Sussex proved she can also pull off a casual look as she joined Prince Harry for an Invictus Games event on Sunday.

The palace said the baby is due in spring 2019 - but no exact date or month was given.

The Duchess of Sussex could give birth at any point between March and June 2019.
