Now it's "Luke Cage".

Netflix bosses have stunned comic book fans by cancelling Marvel's Luke Cage.

The Hollywood trade reports that showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker and a team of writers had been working for the past six months on scripts (with input from Netflix), and that several actors including lead actor Mike Colter were under contract for a third season.

The series' second season soundtrack treated hip-hop fans to new music from rap icon Rakim.

Shane Lowry must settle for second as Sergio Garcia secures Valderrama Masters
And the Ryder Cup star put the finishing touches to his closing 69 on day five to win this event for the third time. Spaniard Sergio Garcia , four shots ahead after two rounds, is three ahead at 10 under with 11 holes to finish.

"So wait... First they cancel Iron Fist after a massive improvement". I swear to God, we'd better hear something about a Heroes for Hire series like, YESTERDAY. Netflix does not release their viewership figures for their shows, but it doesn't appear that Luke Cage lacked support. It had a quality, tone and point of view unlike anything we had seen in genre storytelling. The song, "King's Paradise", produced by Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad who are also the show's music supervisors, name drops Harlem greats like Malcolm X, Louis Armstrong, Lena Horne and the show's titular character Luke Cage. That leaves Marvel in a bit of an odd place right now, and I guess the coming months will show this all plays out. Of all content on Netflix they cut Luke Cage in its prime.

Netflix has decided against renewing Marvel Television's Luke Cage for a third season.

"Welp. That makes half of 'em.#LukeCage #IronFist". "$10 Says JJ is next".
