The countdown to one of the biggest shopping events in the calendar year has now begun, with millions of shoppers worldwide hoping to bag a bargain on Black Friday.

"We know many of our customers are starting to think about Christmas presents, parties and decorations at this time of year and we're excited to offer great deals when shoppers need them most", said Doug Gurr, Country Manager, Amazon.co.uk in a statement.

Exciting offers we're set to see include the ThinkPad X1 Carbon 5th gen, which is now $1,809.00, down to $899.99 (that's really a mega saving), and the 17-inch Ideapad 330 gaming laptop, with GTX 1050 graphics card, to $599 from $729.99. Some companies have already started rolling out their deals ahead of the event on November 23, ...

Facebook Messenger's unsend feature is coming soon
The feature was first discovered and tweeted about by an engineer named Jane Manchun Wong in October while it was being tested. Users of the popular messaging site and app will be given the opportunity to delete a message after it has been sent.

Not into crowds? No worries: With the exception of some low-cost items like DVDs, Walmart plans to offer the majority of its Black Friday deals online as well as in stores.

Starting online at 10 PM ET on November 21, and expanding to brick and mortar stores the following day at 6 PM, all the hottest smartphones in the USA are getting massive discounts. However, the retailer has already started the push with a slew of deals on its website. That includes a Sharp 55-inch 4K ultra HD HDR smart LED TV for $299 ($200.99 off), Lenovo IdeaPad 330s 15.6-inch laptop for $349 ($30 off), and meShare Wifi Cam for $39.99 ($10 off). The leaked $199 Sony PS4 Slim 1TB Spider-man Bundle is also on the cover. Global retailer Amazon tends to go all out for the event, offering all sorts of limited time deals, and this year is no different with a full ten days of sales for United Kingdom customers. Wallmart says it will be handing out hot drinks and cookies two hours before the event kicks off on November 22, too.
