But, according to a report from NY Daily News, that will likely not happen.

Darnold, who is coming off a four-interception game, showed up at Wednesday's practice with a walking boot on his foot. Veteran quarterback Josh McCown would start for the Jets this week after the team had traded Teddy Bridgewater to the New Orleans Saints in the preseason.

Sources later told the News that Darnold is suffering from a significant sprain, and won't play against the Bills on Sunday at MetLife Stadium. It might not be the worst idea to let the rookie quarterback clear his head. It could explain some of his struggles last week against the Dolphins. He now sits with a 55-percent completion rate, 11 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions on the season.

The No. 3 overall pick took a beating in the Jets' Week 9 loss in Miami and said after the game that he got dinged up.

Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union add baby to family
When Dwyane Wade missed Wednesday night's Heat win over San Antonio for "personal reasons", he wasn't kidding around. Gabrielle also opened up in her book about how hard she found it being asked by other women whether she wants kids.

Todd Bowles confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that the injury was a foot strain, and that the QB was being listed as day-to-day.

There doesn't seem to be a choice this week. It might end up being for the best.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reports Darnold, who sat out Wednesday's practice and is now in a walking boot is dealing with an injured foot, which will sideline him for Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.
