The Ravens (4-5) have lost three straight games and are on their bye.

The bye week comes at a good time for Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, who is reportedly dealing with a hip injury that makes his status uncertain for Baltimore's November 18 game against Cincinnati, per Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. A loss to the Bengals would significantly diminish Baltimore's playoff chances.

The injury occurred on the Ravens' sixth play from scrimmage in last Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers as defensive end Stephon Tuitt drove Flacco to the ground. A Tuitt takedown reportedly led to a hip injury for Flacco. But on the next snap, Flacco was hit by Cameron Heyward.

Flacco has missed only six games in his 11-year National Football League career. However, he kept trying to stretch on the field, and instead of sitting on the bench between offensive possessions, he paced on the sideline.

University and schools have been closed and mosques opened to shelter civilians in areas hit by the floods. Rescue operations continue across Jordan.

The severity of the injury isn't known quite yet but Flacco is undergoing further tests to find out how bad it really is, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

"I do want him on the field", Ravens coach John Harbaugh said of Jackson on Monday.

Jackson has been used as a situational quarterback and he is the team's second-leading rusher (28 carries, 139 yards, one touchdown).

Flacco is now set to earn $18.5 million in base salary in 2019.
