Sarkar Gets Dethroned By Thugs Of Hindostan At The Box Office?

It was expected to do some mind blowing numbers but negative reviews and poor word of mouth, literally killed the film. However, the second day saw a different scene, as there was a sharp decline with the movie earning just Rs 28.25 crore at the box office.

"Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the figures on Twitter, "#ThugsOfHindostan HINDI: "Thu 50.75 cr, Friday 28.25 cr. It's overall two day total (Hindi+Telugu+Tamil) is pegged at Rs 81.5 crore. As per reports in Box-Office India, it has managed to garner only Rs 28 cr (approx) on its second day at the ticket windows.

However, he added that the mass belt and single screens were still holding on. #ThugsOfHindostan slips on Day 2, facing a fall during #Diwali holidays.

The analyst further added that day 3 and day 4 will be extremely critical for the film to do well, otherwise day 5 onwards, getting back on track would be hard for Thugs Of Hindostan.

Woods hasn't commented publicly on why he turned down the pay day, but he doesn't need the money, nor does he need the bad press. Athletes and entertainers have pulled out of recent events in Saudi Arabia amid backlash against the country's government.

Sarkar, which released on November 6, 2018 had enjoyed a record breaking opening day and according to a tweet by a popular trade analyst, the film went on to break the opening day collection record of Bollywood movie Sanju as well by fetching approximately 35 Crores.

The keenly anticipated film "Thugs of Hindostan" had its release a day after Diwali but it got the worst reviews of the year.
