Disney has released a new trailer for director Tim Burton's new live-action Dumbo movie is here.

While Burton first made waves with dark and unusual films like Batman and Beetlejuice, he's actually been working within the realm of family/children's films for quite some time now (from Alice in Wonderland to Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children), and he seems quite comfortable here in Dumbo. But regardless, this looks to be another hit in a long string of upcoming live action adaptations for the House of Mouse next year.

Farrell stars as widower Holt Farrier, a war veteran and former horse showman with two children at a circus run by Max Medici (DeVito), who buys a pregnant elephant, and thus Dumbo enters their lives. Michael Keaton plays the bad guy, V.A. Vandevere who brings on Dumbo for a new amusement park of sorts called Dreamland.

But the main point of heartbreak remains the absolutely shattering separation scene where Dumbo's mother is sold off; a scene which the trailer hints at, and looks to be just as devastating as the original. Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant (Eva Green), until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets. Eventually, they discover that Dumbo can fly, and this helps the circus make a comeback, except things don't go to plan when Vandevere gets involved.
