The new BMW 330e plug-in hybrid sedan represents a big step-up, offering more efficiency, an increased electric-only range and more power.

The new BMW 330e plug-in hybrid will offer an electric-only range of 37 miles - almost double that of its predecessor. The vehicle also offers extended electric-only range and improved fuel efficiency.

Performance figures include a zero-to-100 km/h sprint time of 6.0 seconds (0.1 seconds faster than before) and a top speed of 230 km/h (up 5 km/h). The plug-in hybrid drivetrain includes an 184bhp 2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine aligned to an electric motor that generates a continuous output of 68bhp and a peak output of 113bhp.

Camp Fire death toll rises to 63, sheriff says
He said authorities were making the list public so people could see if they're on it, and let authorities know they are safe. What was left was a ghostly, smoky expanse of empty lots covered in ash and strewn with twisted wreckage and debris.

The eight-speed Steptronic transmission features a model-specific shifting programme complete with brake downshifts, combined with an accelerator pedal curve that feels more precise and sporty than ever. Although it won't make it to the Indian market, the standard petrol and diesel powered versions of the latest generation 3 Series would be sold here next year. Available in standard, Advantage, Sport Line, Luxury Line and M Sport trim levels, it is offered with features such as adaptive M suspension, Variable Sports Steering, an M sports braking system, Driving Assistant Professional with steering and lane guidance, and Parking Assistant with the new Reversing Assistant feature.

Peak output is 252 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, but the XtraBoost feature adds an extra 41 hp when the vehicle is in Sport mode and there's sufficient charge in the 12-kwh lithium-ion battery. BMW says the electric motor is integrated into the eight-speed transmission to save space, while the fuel tank is mounted above the rear axle to keep cargo space as roomy as possible.

Electric-only driving range increases by 50 percent over its predecessor to just over 37 miles (60 km). The 330e can be optioned with an acoustic pedestrian warning feature, which operates at low speeds when the vehicle is running silently on battery power alone.
