With a spot in the College Football Playoffs in reach, the Fighting Irish can't afford to slip up down the stretch. However, there are plenty of games with intrigue or importance to the races within a conference or for a division title. Meanwhile, No. 2 Clemson, No. 3 Notre Dame and No. 4 MI all tallied big wins over the weekend to keep their respective places in the playoff picture. Herbstreit said Michigan's playoff chances will all come down to the Ohio State game.

No. 14 Penn State (7-3, 4-3 Big Ten) will take on Rutgers at noon Saturday. Last year, Alabama seemed like a default pick at 11-1 over Ohio State and USC. The night slate features a couple of intriguing games, including Cincinnati at UCF, Arizona at Washington State, San Diego State-Fresno State and Iowa State at Texas. But there is also little doubt Alabama would be favored on a neutral field against any team in the country. No. 7 LSU, No. 8 Washington State, No. 9 West Virginia and No. 10 Ohio State round out the top 10.

Canada Post Strike Having Huge Impact on Retailers
Since Oct. 22, CUPW's rotating strikes have shut down Canada Post's operations in more than 200 communities across the country. The deal would affect 90 members of CUPW Local 708 in Brandon, which took part in a 24-hour long rotating strike on October 29.

"No one is playing better football than MI right now", ESPN analyst Joey Galloway said. MI could help Notre Dame by finishing 12-1. With both teams still in contention for a spot in the Big 12 Championship game, expect to see each team pull out all the tricks.

Still, the Irish at 11-1 pits them against any other once-beaten conference champion, while also possibly forcing the committee to justify putting MI in and leaving the Irish out.
