Sunset Overdrive confirmed for PC release

It's a good game, and nearly certainly worth the price, given that it includes a good slab of DLC on top of everything, but it's a pity it's an incomplete version. The game is not a Windows 10 exclusive like other Microsoft exclusives; Amazon lists the game as available for Windows 8.

Sunset Overdrive feels halfway between Insomniac's colourful cartoon Ratchet & Clank series and their more grounded, open-world PS4 Spider-Man game.

Those who have waited for the anarchic action-adventure game to come to the PC won't have long to wait, either: the PC version of Sunset Overdrive officially launches today (November 16), and will be published by THQ Nordic (which also published the PC version of ReCore).

The game takes place in 2027, where a contaminated energy drink has turned most of the population into toxic mutants. Your old boss? Dead. Embrace the chaos of sunset city through a hyper-colorful, post-apocalyptic single-player campaign and two bonus expansions, mystery of mooil rig and Dawn of the Rise of the Fallen machines. Outgun crazed mutants, homicidal robots, and villainous thugs on your journeys with the included weapons Pack.

An open world with no rules - leap off buildings, run along walls, And grind power lines and rails to destroy your foes from every angle.

The PC launch trailer is really just the Xbox One trailer with a Windows logo at the end, which could be a sign that we're looking at a straight port. We'll see you in the city! Mouse aiming is a nice perk, but a lot of the shooting is lock-on based or using big messy area-of-effect weapons, so not as much of an advantage as you'd think.
