Miss Millane, from Essex, was last seen at Auckland's Sky City complex and did not respond to messages on her birthday the following day.

Grace Millane hasn't been in contact with her family for six days.

"We are working with the family in the United Kingdom and New Zealand police in relation to reports of a missing British national in New Zealand".

"Grace has been missing for 5 days", her brother Michael Millane posted on Facebook on Tuesday. We all feel a bit helpless from over here.

"If she gets this message, we would urge her to get in touch with us as soon as possible so we know she's OK".

Police say they are starting to piece together Ms Millane's last known movements.

She was last seen on Saturday about 7.15pm around SkyCity. She is approximately 5ft 6in (168cm) in height and 58kg.

Grace, 22, was staying at Base Backpackers in Auckland but has not contacted her family since Thursday.

CCTV footage shows Grace Millane at SkyCity on December 1 wearing a black dress and white shoes.

Her family reported her missing to New Zealand Police yesterday.

On November 19 she wrote: 'Of course it's raining when I arrive to New Zealand'.

Wolves come from behind to beat wasteful Chelsea
Chelsea need to now pick themselves up for a weekend clash against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. I don't know why. "We played very well in the first half". "We didn't react at all".

"Where she was standing, it was really freaky and she was by herself, nobody around just a girl on her own", she said.

"She was in a very unusual place to stand, I would have thought a hitchhiker would have stopped on the left-hand side to get in the auto, she was on the other side".

The radio silence was "unusual" for Grace, Declan Millane said.

'Her family member is coming out - obviously, they're distraught.

Detective Inspector Scott Beard said the lack of contact is out of character for Ms Millane, especially as it was her birthday on Sunday.

Earlier today, her brother expressed the family's concern for Grace.

Grace Millane had been in New Zealand for about two weeks.

Can everyone please share this, we haven't heard from my sister since Saturday is now travelling in New Zealand and was last seen in Auckland.

'It's important that anyone who recognises Grace from this photo or saw her on Saturday night contacts Police immediately'.

"We believe she's booked further travel in New Zealand in the upcoming days".
