Spider-Man: Far From Home's Jake Gyllenhaal Confirms He's Playing Mysterio

Besides the fact that Gyllenhaal will now be treating his devoted fans to photos of his everyday life, the post seems to confirm something that's been the subject of heated speculation for months - his reported role in the upcoming follow-up to Marvel's "Spider-Man: Homecoming".

Gyllenhaal has joined Instagram, and his first post is very much a tease over his role in Far From Home. The post is accompanied by the caption: "I just realised I'm not playing Spider-Man". But marketing these films without spoiling the most important one of the three will be hard, a new report notes, and Sony is already hiding potential Avengers 4 spoilers from Spider-Man 2 marketing.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, he said: "I would say, with John Watts who directed the movie, what makes this instalment of that franchise so great is that there is an intimacy to it. That's what it feels like when you're working".

He is a special effects experts who uses his talents to commit crimes. Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, two of the screenwriters behind the first movie, are back as well.

We already know that in Marvel's timeline, Far From Home starts just minutes after Avengers 4 ends.
