The Lakers are trying to manage the 33-year-old's time on court with a view to keeping their off-season recruit fresh.

He added: "If anybody should be trusted it should be LeBron James because he is supremely conditioned, he's averaging two less minutes per game this year than he was last year".

Kobe Bryant recently spoke at the Lakers' "All-Access" event that took place in the Staples Center on Monday.

Lakers legend Bryant said the iconic National Basketball Association franchise would soon be challenging for honors once more after failing to make the playoffs for the past 5 seasons. "So, it's a balancing act". The four-time Most Valuable Player deemed it necessary to take over ball distribution chores in the absence, and given the inconsistency, of point guards Rajon Rondo and Lonzo Ball, respectively. Though he said he did understand why people - including Magic Johnson and Kobe Bryant - would have their concerns.

James, meanwhile, understands why he is being critiqued, even though he doesn't agree that he's being asked to do too much. I know who I am. "It's not smart on anyone's behalf, but it's just the competitive side of me".

"I understand the logic behind it", James said.

U.S. stocks dive as trade jitters return
The Dow plunged 730 points, or 2.8 percent, to 25,095, more than erasing its 488-point gain over the previous two trading days. Concerns were also compounded by increasing news narrative on inverted curves and risks of a recession".

"We have to continue to develop these guys because, if we don't, then long term what does that do for our franchise?" We want to see how much our young guys can grow and be the best they can be. I remember going there to play, looking around and seeing a lot of Lakers jerseys in the stands. I know who I am.

"That is, you know what you're going to get out of me every game". There are certainly reasons to be managing LeBron's workload wisely.

However, Bryant doesn't necessarily think that James' ball-dominant approach to his first season with the Lakers is conducive to winning championships.

With James experiencing the NBA Finals eight straight consecutive seasons, patience is a challenge as he's concurred this season. You're patient with each other, but not with yourself. "I don't stop. So I can do whatever". Past year I played every single game. "I just play my game", said James. "And we'll be laughing in the faces of all those Warriors fans who came out of nowhere".

James now averages 27.8 points, 7.7 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game over 23 games this season.

The Lakers' rocky 2-5 start has since stabilized, as the team is now 14-9 entering Wednesday's game against the Spurs.
