The spine-ripping, heart-stabbing, tooth-smashing, face-eating supernatural superkillers of Mortal Kombat will return next year in Mortal Kombat 11, announced today.

The trailer showed off a brutal fight between Scorpion and Raiden, where they went shot for shot before Scorpion absolutely destroyed Raiden in an epic fatality. Will Mortal Kombat 11 be skipping Steam like so numerous other announcements from The Game Awards tonight?

Tonight's announcement came from The Game Awards, the "Oscars but video games" marketing-o-rama where developers gave out awards after showing trailers for their games.

FCA plans new Jeep Grand Cherokee assembly line in Detroit, source says
FCA now builds the two-row Grand Cherokee at its Jefferson North plant, across the street from the idled Mack Avenue engine plant. CNBC reports that Fiat Chrysler's existing truck and SUV manufacturing plants in the United States are running near capacity.

Other leaks though have suggested a co-op mode and gameplay, or at least a separate mode, that works as a spiritual successor to scrolling beat 'em-up Shaolin Monks. At first glance, Raiden stands out from his usual blue-eyed appearance, bearing a pair of red eyes as dark as his blood that fans might recognize from his design in Mortal Kombat Deception and Armageddon.

Those who preorder the game will also get Shao Kahn as a playable character along with access to the games beta.

You won't have to wait long though as a "community reveal event" is planned for January 17 and the game itself is out on April 23.
