Nissan is already accepting orders from deep-pocketed buyers and will start customer deliveries in 2019.

That possibility turned quicker than you can say GT-R50 into reality and come December the order books for the vehicle are open. Thus, the GT-R50 can slam down 710 horsepower and 575 pound-feet of torque-145 more horsepower and 108 pound-feet more than a base GT-R.

While the auto featured during the Goodwood FoS had a predominantly gray finish combined with gold accents, the production version shown here has a more appealing main blue shade.

The company has yet to confirm the rest of the production car's spec, but the concept auto featured a reinforced dual-clutch six-speed rear transaxle, stronger differential and drive shafts, Bilstein DampTronic adaptive dampers, and Brembo brakes with red-painted calipers. In fact, the car's exterior will be virtually unchanged from the coupe that was shown at Goodwood earlier this year, based on the GT-R Nismo and styled in collaboration with Pininfarina.

While the prototype was finished in a grey with gold accents, Nissan says customers will be able to specify their preferred colour combinations for the production model.

Developed to celebrate the 50 anniversaries of the GT-R and Italdesign, the ultra-exclusive GT-R50 will be limited to strictly 50 cars.

The price has risen slightly - the original expectation was for a starting price of around €900,000, but the actual cost will be €990,000 before taxes and options. Those fortunate enough to sign their names on the dotted line to claim a GT-R50 will be able to spec their cars inside and out. A reinforced six-speed dual-clutch transmission handles the extra power, while Bilstein adjustable suspension, Brembo brakes and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres keep everything pointing in the right direction. Cars will be delivered to customers in 2019 and 2020.
