BCCI announces cash awards for triumphant Team India members

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Tuesday (January 8), announced cash awards for Team India players, coaching and support staff after their first-ever series win in Australia.

In case you missed it, Anushka also shared how proud she was about the victory. Taking to her official Instagram account, Anushka penned down a note for the victorious Indian team for their brilliant effort down under. They conquered! History written and created by this bunch!

According to the report, some 2630 people were stung across the weekend, with nearly 1000 hurt in a matter of hours on Sunday. More than 18,000 stings were recorded in Queensland in December, three times more cases than past year over the same period.

A day after the historic feat, skipper Virat Kohli looked in good mood as he posted a picture of himself on Twitter while relaxing in the hotel room and he captioned the post - "Bliss". "I have seen better batting combinations from India than this team", he added, but did not dwell on which batting line-up he considered the best.
