Gonzalo HIGUAIN close to leaving AC Milan and joining Chelsea

Higuain has endured a hard period since swapping clubs and is keen on a move to Chelsea where he would be reunited with his former manager Maurizio Sarri, under whom he enjoyed a record breaking season with Napoli.

Higuain played under Sarri at Napoli in 2015-16, and enjoyed the most productive season of his career with 38 goals in 42 games.

The Argentine thrived under Sarri's guidance at Napoli and broke the Serie A record with 37 goals in the 2015/2016 season.

England worldwide Wilson has found the back of the net nine times in the Premier League this season and has registered five assists.

Higuain has spent the season on loan at Milan from Juventus, but Chelsea will apparently pay €40 million (£36m) and €8m a year in wages to land the Argentina forward.

Sarri will hope to get the best out of Higuain, whose form in Naples saw him land a move to Juventus in a mouthwatering £77.9m move three years ago.

Brazilian Leonardo added: "There's no point following rumours and gossip".

"He is here right now". Seeing as he is here, he needs to knuckle down and actually do something for this team.

Gonzalo Higuain has been told by sporting director Leonardo to show responsibility for AC Milan and decide his future at the club.

According to a UK Sun report Blues manager Maurizio Sarri has lost faith with Morata, with Eden Hazard now playing as "False 9" for Chelsea.
