Juventus will reportedly finalise the signing of Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey next week, with the Welshman having agreed to move to Turin in the summer.

The Welsh midfielder was subjected to interest from many big clubs across Europe including FC Bayern and Paris Saint-Germain.

There have been enquiries from English sides and if Ramsey was to remain in the Premier League he would favour a move to Liverpool.

They claim that he will jet to Italy this weekend to undertake a medical, before signing the necessary pre-contract agreement.

Ramsey will make around $180,000 per week with the Italian club, making him the second highest earner at the club behind Ronaldo, but ahead of Paulo Dybala and Douglas Costa.

The two parties were close to finalising an agreement but no physical contract was on the table when the club made a decision to pull out.

Ultimately Arsenal were not prepared to meet his salary demands, with some among the hierarchy regretting the new deal given to Mesut Ozil a year ago, worth £350,000 per week, and determined to avoid a repeat. The Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, also had major reservations about both Özil and Ramsey fitting into his plans and the style he wants to play.

"My idea and focus, I say to him every day, is that we need his performance for us". He asked in Blackpool to play, he said: "Coach, I want to play".

Chelsea's policy is to never sell when a player's perceived value is low, so instead they organise a loan first.
